A cement walkway leads out into the shallow waters of Saginaw Bay. When the waters of the lake are blown out, extensive flats are exposed and numerous shorebirds, gulls, and terns are seen from the end of the walkway. In the fall, the cattail areas to the east are one of the most dependable spots to see Tundra Swan.
